About Neurodivergent Career Partners

A More Individualized Approach to Career Development

Neurodivergent Career Partners was built around a simple starting point: understand the person first, then find the right opportunity.

Our Approach

Our work brings together career strategy, professional positioning, employer outreach, and workplace support. The level of involvement depends on what each individual needs.

For some clients, the primary challenge is figuring out what direction to pursue. For others, the direction is clear but their resume, LinkedIn presence, interview style, or search strategy is not producing results.

Once a client is hired, the focus changes. The early weeks and months of a new position can raise questions about communication, expectations, accommodations, workload, and workplace relationships. Onboarding support is designed to help address those issues early and constructively.

The People Behind NDCP

Alan Cohen

Career Development & Employer Engagement Partner

For 17 years, Alan Cohen has helped neurodivergent jobseekers identify career paths, strengthen their abilities, and connect with employers. As a longtime member of the Frist Center for Autism and Innovation employment services team, he's spent that time learning what motivates people, how they perform best, and what kind of environment lets them succeed.

Alan's strength is turning that understanding into a practical direction, then helping make it real. He leads discovery and career development for Neurodivergent Career Partners and plays a central role in employer outreach, nurturing relationships with hiring organizations and advocating for clients.

He has cultivated employer relationships across companies including Boeing, SpaceX, Northrop Grumman, Garmin, Ernst & Young, Kroger, Whole Foods, SAS, Microsoft, and Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Earlier, as an Employment Support Professional with the Autism Society of North Carolina, he received the Claudia and Roman Direct Service Award for outstanding dedication to individuals with ASD and their families.

Clients often value Alan's ability to create an environment where they can be candid about what they need and want from their careers. That trust is central to how he works, and to how he helps clients move from uncertainty to a practical path forward.

“Words can hardly express how grateful we are to Alan for his assistance. This is something we could not have done without him. It is hard to see so many adults on the Spectrum who never get a chance to work at a job they enjoy while earning a livable wage. Alan has changed Nathan's life and we are thankful to him and the amazing work that the Frist organization is doing.”
